Monaghan boxing legend Barry Mc Guigan aka “The Clones Cyclone” has been made a distinguished fellow at Athlone Institute Of Technology.
Mc Guigan along with other Irish stars Sonia O Sullivan and paralympian Mark Rohan are set to receive the highest honour the institute can award.
The honours recognise individuals who’ve made significant contributions to society, Ireland, the Midlands, or to the development and advancement of AIT.
